Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra announced on Apr. 24 that booking is now open for her May office hours, which will take place starting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. Eight fifteen-minute appointments are available and can be reserved online.

The initiative aims to provide residents with a direct opportunity to discuss community concerns and ideas with the mayor in a one-on-one setting.

Since the launch of these office hours, Sciarra said she has had several engaging and productive conversations with community members. She said topics have included sidewalk repairs, the Picture Main Street project, school funding, connecting high school students with volunteer opportunities, crosswalk safety, community dialogue, supporting businesses, lighting issues and more.

Sciarra said she values this additional way to connect with residents and looks forward to continuing these conversations at future office hours.

The ongoing availability of mayoral office hours reflects an effort to maintain open communication between city leadership and Northampton residents.
