Rep. Richard Neal, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 1st district since 1989, commented on recent political developments and his legislative efforts in a series of posts on February 25, 2026.

In his first post at 03:24 UTC, Neal referenced past government initiatives by stating, “A reminder of how last year’s ‘war on fraud’ turned out.”

In a third post at 20:36 UTC, Neal highlighted his legislative work on retirement savings: “I must have missed the President’s thank you last night. My bill, SECURE 2.0, expanded retirement savings for millions of Americans. I’m sure he just missed it on the teleprompter.”

Neal has represented Massachusetts’s 1st District in Congress since succeeding Edward Boland in 1989 and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Worcester in 1949 and currently residing in Springfield, Neal holds a BA from American International College.
