Rep. Richard Neal, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 1st district, recently shared updates and greetings on his social media account, including information about a television appearance, legislative achievements in healthcare, and holiday well-wishes.

On April 4, 2026, Neal announced an upcoming interview by stating, “Tune in tomorrow morning at 11:00 as I go “On the Record” with Ed Harding and Sharman Sacchetti on @WCVB.”

Later that same day, Neal highlighted recent health care policy developments under Democratic leadership: “Under Democrats, we strengthened our health care system by expanding coverage, lowering costs, and giving hospitals the stability they need to serve their communities. In western Massachusetts, that meant bringing North Adams Regional Hospital back from the brink after it had”

On April 6, 2026, Neal posted a holiday message: “To all those who celebrated today, happy Easter! I hope your day was filled with hope, renewal, and time spent with those who matter most.”

Neal has represented Massachusetts’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Edward Boland in 1989. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Worcester in 1949 and currently residing in Springfield at age 74, Neal is an alumnus of American International College.
