Cost of college went up for all students at Hampshire College

Tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at Hampshire College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Massachusetts students paid $51,668 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $60 more than the $51,608 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 308 students received grants or scholarships totaling $10.6 million and 238 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,191), 1,187 students used grants or scholarships totaling $36.3 million, and 856 students took out $5.5 million in federal student loans.
