Williams men's tennis dropped their first NESCAC match of the season against Middlebury earlier this afternoon. The Panthers came out of the gates swinging and were impressive in sweeping the doubles matches. The Ephs struggled to overcome the deficit in singles, losing four out of the six singles matches.
First year Shawn Berdia and senior Michael Medvedev played some of their best tennis during the most crucial moments of their matches. Both Ephs maintained their composure at the end of close sets as Berdia and Medvedev won 7-5, 6-4 and 7-6, 7-6, respectively.
The Ephs will be back in action next Saturday at 2pm against Connecticut College.
