Last week, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Scholar All-American Individual and Team awards for the 2021-2022 season. Individual Scholar All-American selection was based on maintaining a 3.50 GPA or higher and the invitation to swim at the DIII National Championships last March in Indianapolis, Indiana. In total, the Eph Swimming & Diving teams garnered 38 Individual Scholar All-American honors, 19 women and 19 men.

 

The Eph teams both earned 2022 Scholar All-America Team honors, which were selected based on the average GPA across all active athletes on the Swimming & Diving team.

 

High praise was garnered for the Eph squads and renowned head coach Steve Kuster; the Executive Director of CSCAA Greg Earhart stated, "Coach Kuster was honored as one of CSCAA's 100 Greatest Coaches. It is no surprise to see these athletes achieving in both the classroom and the pool." The Ephs Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving team both finished 4th at the NCAA DIII National Championships along with their academic successes.

The Eph women's team posted a 3.73 team GPA, while the men recorded a team GPA of 3.63.

 

Athletes' names in bold denote dual selection to the DIII Scholar All-American team and All-American honors, meaning that they finished within the top 16 at the NCAA DIII National Championships last March – an indication of both academic and athletic excellence.
