Jennifer Chuks-Crabill has been named Associate Athletic Director for DEI and Compliance, Amherst College Director of Athletics Don Faulstick announced Monday, August 8th.
Chuks-Crabill comes to Amherst from Dartmouth College, where she served as the athletic department's admissions and financial aid liaison helping develop and implement strategies that support coaches in the area of recruitment, admitting, and matriculating a diverse student-athlete body. Additionally, she supervised several varsity sports, including men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field and the rowing teams.
"I'm extremely excited that Jen will be joining our department," Faulstick said. "She's a proven administrator who has had great success supporting students and coaches. Her experiences at Williams and Dartmouth will be very valuable to the department and college as a whole."
At Dartmouth, Chuks-Crabill also oversaw the Dartmouth Black Student Athlete Alliance (DBSAA) and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Starting in 2010, Chuks-Crabill spent eight years at Williams College, arriving as an NCAA Internship recipient to serve as an assistant women's basketball coach and an athletic administrator. She finished her tenure at the school as an assistant athletics director and assistant professor of physical education, overseeing the captains' leadership training and the emerging leaders' program. She also worked as the liaison to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the NCAA for information and awards, and served as the co-director for the first-year fall student-athlete orientation program.
A 2006 graduate of the University of Hartford, Chuks-Crabill earned a degree in psychology while also receiving a full basketball scholarship from the Hawks. She went on to earn her MBA with a concentration in management of sport industries from the University of New Haven, serving as a graduate assistant in membership and marketing there in addition to a four-month internship in the programming department at ESPN. She then spent a year as an assistant coach of women's basketball at Merrimack College and held an internship in the department as a compliance assistant.

"I'm thrilled and honored to be granted this role to work in a department with such great coaches, student-athletes, and staff at Amherst College. I'm thankful for my time at Dartmouth as I grew through several positions and I'm excited to see the direction of the department under athletic director Mike Harrity. I'd like to thank Harry Sheehy for bringing me to Dartmouth and Peter Roby, Richard Whitmore, and Tiffani Sykes for helping me hone my skills and prepare me for this step in my journey. I'm so grateful for the mentors and close friendships I've gathered along the way and I'm excited to build relationships within the Amherst community, while helping contribute to the success that Amherst athletics has established."
Chuks-Crabill has served on numerous committees over the span of her career to date, including the NCAA Division III Championships Committee since January of 2015, taking over as the chair at the start of 2018. She will begin her Amherst tenure Monday, August 15th.
