CHI Salon: "Exactitude: On Precision and Play in Contemporary Architecture"
September 28, 2022 - 4:30 pm
Frost Library, CHI Think Tank
This salon introduces Exactitude: On Precision and Play in Contemporary Architecture (UMass Press, 2022), a volume co-edited by Laure Katsaros (Amherst College), Pari Riahi (University of Massachusetts) and Michael Davis (Mount Holyoke College) that examines how the creative process of architecture responds to the contemporary demand for greater exactitude on phenomenal, formal, spatial and tectonic levels while also meeting its ethical obligations and exercising its imaginative capacities. The three editors will present along with two of the contributors, Christopher Benfey and Eric Howeler.
