Christi Kelsey's Williams women's volleyball team 13-7, 7-3 NESCAC has earned third seed in the NESCAC Championship to be played November 4-6 at top seeded Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. Kelsey's Ephs will enter tournament play riding a 4-match win streak.
Williams and the sixth seeded Middlebury Panthers (14-9, 5-5 NESCAC) will square off at 7:30 PM on Friday. In the regular season match between the Panthers and the Ephs played at Williams on September 16 the Ephs prevailed 3-1. All three Eph wins in match 1, 3 and 4 came by two points, while Middlebury captured the second match by a score of 25-19.
Junior MH/OPP Marit Hoyem led the Eph attack with 19 kills and 6 blocks, while classmate Celia Adams OH/OPP contributed 11 kills. The Panthers were led by Lexi Linafelter and Katie Kraczkowski who each recorded 11 kills.
