Kori Barach earns All-Region honors from D3hoops.com | https://athletics.amherst.edu/
Sophomore guard Kori Barach of the Amherst College women's basketball team has been named a D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region selection.
The D3hoops.com All-Region teams are voted on by sports information directors. Barach was honored in Region I, which includes the 43 institutions in the NESCAC, GNAC, MASCAC and NAC conferences, and is one of 10 regions nationwide.
Barach also earned Second Team All-NESCAC honors this season. She led the Mammoths in a bevy of statistical categories this season, including points (358), points per game (14.3), rebounds (226), offensive rebounds (78), rebounds per game (9.0), field goals made (129), three-point buckets (44) and steals (52).
The Carlisle, Massachusetts, native was second in minutes played per game (37.3) and started all 25 games for Amherst this season. In those 25 games she had a team-leading nine double-doubles. She was also third in assists with 52.
In addition, Barach set an all-time program record for free throws made in a game with 14 against New Jersey City on Dec. 4.
