Clarksburg School district School District’s student-to-teacher ratio rose by 5.3% in 2021-22 school year

The ratio of students to teachers in Clarksburg School district School District rose by 5.3% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 211 students being taught by 15.2 teachers in Clarksburg School district School District, which covers schools within Berkshire County and has a main office in Clarksburg. That's an average of 13.9 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Clarksburg School district School District had 190 students and 14.4 teachers on staff.

Massachusetts was ranked as the eighth best state for teachers, according to a WalletHub study.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.
