Mount Greylock Regional School District’s student-to-teacher ratio rose by 6.1% in 2021-22 school year

The ratio of students to teachers in Mount Greylock Regional School District rose by 6.1% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 1,153 students being taught by 110.9 teachers in Mount Greylock Regional School District, which covers schools within Berkshire County and has a main office in Williamstown. That's an average of 10.4 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Mount Greylock Regional School District had 1,093 students and 111.6 teachers on staff.

Massachusetts has roughly one teacher for every 13 students, which is better than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.

Massachusetts was ranked as the eighth best state for teachers, according to a WalletHub study.
