5.3% of citizens unemployed in Berkshire County in 2021

Berkshire County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,594 people out of the 129,089 living in Berkshire County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Berkshire County has increased compared to the 5.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Berkshire County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.

Of the 63,693 people who had a job during that time, 37 were employed in the Armed Forces and 63,656 belonged to the civilian labor force.
