White was the most represented ethnicity among Ralph C. Mahar Regional School District students in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In total, there were 441 white students enrolled, accounting for 84.5% of the district's student body.

The number of white students attending schools in the district decreased 8.1% from the previous school year.

Meanwhile, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander students were the least represented ethnic group within the schools in Ralph C. Mahar Regional School District.

Ralph C. Mahar Regional School District roughly covers schools within Franklin County, and has a main office in Orange.

The total number of students attending the district’s schools fell to 523 over the 2022-23 school year.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, according to state data from 2023-24, representing 53% of the state's student body.

Across the state, Hispanic and Latino students saw the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 7.8% of teachers identified as people of color in 2022.
