Frontier Regional School District sees 4.2% increase in graduation rates over 2022-23 school year

Frontier Regional School District had a 92.4% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 4.2% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 85 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 90 the year before.

Frontier Regional School District, Dartmouth Public Schools District, and Franklin County Regional Vocational Technical School District had the 85th lowest graduation rate in the state.

Frontier Regional School District roughly covers schools within Franklin County and has a main office in South Deerfield.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
