Graduation Analysis: 1.1% more students graduated from Belchertown Public Schools District in 2022-23 school year

Belchertown Public Schools District had a 91.8% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 1.1% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 169 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 147 the year before.

Belchertown Public Schools District and Tantasqua Regional School District had the 79th lowest graduation rate in the state.

Belchertown Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Hampshire County and has a main office in Belchertown.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
