Rep. Richard Neal, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts' 1st district since 1989, recently shared his insights on several issues through social media posts. The congressman discussed topics ranging from tax policy priorities to climate change legislation.

On January 21, 2025, Rep. Neal announced his participation in a discussion on CNBC's "Squawk Box," alongside Joe Kernen, Becky Quick, and Andrew Ross Sorkin. He mentioned that they would cover the inauguration and priorities for the Ways and Means Committee concerning tax policy. "Tune in this morning as I join Joe Kernen, Becky Quick, and Andrew Ross Sorkin on @SquawkCNBC to discuss the inauguration and @WaysMeansCmte priorities on tax policy."

Later that day, Rep. Neal commented on a recent executive decision by President Trump. He pointed out the revocation of an Executive Order initially issued by President Biden aimed at reducing drug costs for Medicare and Medicaid recipients. Neal highlighted this action as indicative of differing priorities between administrations. "This was last Friday.Three days later, President Trump revoked President Biden's Executive Order calling for policies to lower drug costs for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.A clear distinction in priorities."

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Neal reflected on the achievements under his leadership in drafting the Inflation Reduction Act within the Ways and Means Committee. He emphasized that it represents a significant national investment toward combating climate change while creating over 300,000 jobs and attracting substantial private investments."The Inflation Reduction Act was drafted in the @WaysMeansCmte under my chairmanship, marking our nation’s largest investment to combat climate change. As a result, we've already seen more than 300k jobs created & billions in private investments."
