Former Northfield Mount Hermon School star Cole Bott and the Texas Longhorns edged out the Gonzaga Bulldogs 74-68 in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 21.
The matchup was held at 4:10 p.m. at the Moda Center.
The University of Massachusetts track and field teams placed 33 student-athletes on this year’s Academic All-MAC Teams. This honor recognizes athletes for maintaining strong grades while competing in at least half their events.
UMass Varsity 8 earned Mid-American Conference Boat of the Week honors after a strong showing at the Knecht Cup. The crew finished second overall and beat several conference rivals.
The University of Massachusetts softball team edged out Brown University 2-1 at Sortino Field behind strong pitching from Kelsey Blanchette and timely hitting from Katharine Heslin. The Minutewomen will next play Akron in an upcoming home series.
