Four Rivers Charter Public School District enrolls mainly white students in 2022-23 school year

White was the most represented ethnicity among Four Rivers Charter Public School District students in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In total, there were 185 white students enrolled, accounting for 84.9% of the district's student body.

The number of white students attending schools in the district increased 1.1% over the previous school year.

Meanwhile, Black or African American students were the least represented ethnic group within the schools in Four Rivers Charter Public School District.

Four Rivers Charter Public School District roughly covers schools within Franklin County, and has a main office in Greenfield.

The total number of students attending the district’s schools grew to 219 over the 2022-23 school year.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, according to state data from 2023-24, representing 53% of the state's student body.

Across the state, Hispanic and Latino students saw the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 7.8% of teachers identified as people of color in 2022.
