Farmington River Regional School District enrollment grows 3.4% in 2022-23 school year

There were 120 students enrolled in Farmington River Regional School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.4% more than the year before, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 47.5% identified as male and 52.5% identified themselves as female.

Farmington River Regional School District registered the 384th-largest enrollment in the state.

Farmington River Regional School District roughly covers a school within Berkshire County, and has a main office in Otis.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, making up 53% of the student population in the state. Hispanic students come in second, representing over 25% of Massachusetts' student body.

However, across the state, Hispanic and Native American students suffered the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 9% of teachers are people of color.
