Graduation Analysis: 3.5% more students graduated from Gill-Montague Regional School District in 2022-23 school year

Gill-Montague Regional School District had a 76.2% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 3.5% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 32 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 32 the year before.

Gill-Montague Regional School District had the 18th lowest graduation rate in the state.

Gill-Montague Regional School District roughly covers schools within Franklin County and has a main office in Turners Falls.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
